Applied Traffic - Traffic Monitoring SystemsApplied Traffic, which was set up in 1998, is one of the UK's leading traffic monitoring companies. They offer a whole range of traffic monitoring systems and services and aim to provide the correct solution for the individual requirements of each customer. The company's monitoring solutions comprise high-speed weigh-in-motion with ANPR integration for automatic pre-selection, right through to non-intrusive above ground vehicle and cycle technology for safety camera partnerships and local authorities. COUNTERS AND CLASSIFIERSThe T5-VPC is a high-accuracy loop profiling classifier that allows a straightforward swap-out of older systems due to its compatibility with existing systems. With a high-speed USB 2 serial connection, serial port for modem operation and via its RS485 port, it has the capability to expand to up to 16 lanes of operation and with CF card data storage with up to 2GB capacity, the machine can easily handle any loop-based traffic counting scenario. The second model in the range is the C1 version, which, just by using some different firmware, has resulted in a high-accuracy cycle counting system that counts cycles in mixed traffic environments, cycle lanes and cycle paths. The third model in the range is the S5-SLC. This is a single-loop four-lane counter that not only counts but classifies and records speed from a single loop. The S5-SLC is totally compatible with existing single loop count sites. All models are available with solar power and GPRS data streaming or GSM data polling. RADAR COUNTERS AND CLASSIFIERSThe AT-SR3 radar counter classifier and the new AT-SR4 radar counter classifier provide a quick and safe way to carry out short-term traffic counts. The proven radar system is used to accurately measure the vehicle speed, length and gap between the vehicles on a Vehicle-By-Vehicle (VBV) basis. All models are available with solar power and GPRS data streaming or GSM data polling. TRAFFIC FLOW ANALYSIS SOFTWAREThe HI-COMM 100 database management analysis suite is used to collect traffic flow information from the HI-TRAC loop counter classifiers and for data analysis and a reporting. The software package also incorporates extensive equipment and sensor diagnostics capabilities. The Applied Traffic Micro-Dial data analysis and reporting software is simple to use and enables the operator to download files quickly and print a number of statistical tabular and graphical reports. The reporting package includes the comprehensive hypothecation report used by the UK Camera Safety Partnerships. HIGH-SPEED WEIGH IN MOTIONThe HI-TRAC 100 high-speed traffic data collection system provides a means of recording vehicle classification and axle-load data without interruption to traffic flows. The system can be used as a statistical data gathering device to record the pattern of highway traffic loading and it is also employed as a screening weighbridge to identify overloaded vehicles in the traffic stream. ABOUT APPLIED TRAFFICThe experience of the personnel within Applied extends back to the mid 1980s. Their in depth knowledge of the principles of traffic detection and weigh-in-motion is unsurpassable and Applied are constantly driving forward the boundaries of technology. Their customers include VOSA, Department for Transport, local authorities, police forces and the Highways Agency. Their instrumentation offers unrivalled reliability, functionality and accuracy and all their operations are ISO 9001 accredited.
