Inductive loop vehicle detectors

The Nortech vehicle detection range is diverse. At the lower end are miniature ultra-reliable single channel detectors for vehicle access control. At the next level of sophistication are two and four-channel detectors for a variety of parking and access control applications.

The PD130 and PD230 detectors are used for boom gate and roller door and gate control. Reliability and advanced diagnostic features make them widely used in Australia.

Multi-channel card rack loop detectors

Models TD424ES, TD424N and TD624 belong to a range of high reliability, high performance, four-channel card units for use for intersection detection, traffic counting, speed and following distance detection.

Approved for use in Australia by Vic Roads and the R&TA in NSW, they are compliant with SCATS and STREAMS systems requirements.

Bus location and vehicle priority transmitters

Track 2000 is a vehicle-mounted tag designed to identify moving vehicles. Used for vehicle priority for emergency and public transport vehicles, it provides vehicle class (e.g. ambulance) or unique identification as required for bus location systems.

The Track 2000 system reads data from a buried roadway loop at speeds up to 200km/h, proving reliable both at high and low speeds.

Road traffic data monitoring and incident detection systems

The IR100 is an intelligent vehicle loop detector system designed to monitor traffic speed, volume, and headway on major motorways. The vehicle loop detector rack assembly includes multi-channel detector cards, mains power supplies and processor / communications cards that form the building blocks for the implementation of real-time traffic data acquisition systems.

When used for motorway incident detection, the IR100 vehicle loop detector system has the capability to generate occupancy alarms at the roadside, minimising communications overheads.
