AD Engineering Pty Ltd. (Est. 1979) is an electronics manufacturing company and is one of Australia's most accomplished designers and manufacturers of electronic LED signage, including Variable Message Signs (VMS), Changeable Message Signs (CMS), Tri Vision Signs, Radar Speed Displays (RSD) and Variable Speed Limit Signs (VSLS).

VARIABLE MESSAGE SIGNS (VMS) FOR DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Traffic monitoring stations are installed along a section of freeway to assess the speed, density and flow of traffic in each lane and transmit the data to a central computer. The information can be processed and sent to other signs on the Freeway.

The VMSs are continually updated to advise motorists of road conditions and traffic movements ahead. AD Engineering Pty Ltd has manufactured, supplied and installed various-sized VMSs throughout Australia. Each VMS is manufactured to the client's specific requirements in size and colour.

CHANGEABLE MESSAGE SIGNS (CMS) FOR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Changeable Message Signs have been manufactured and installed on a number of freeways in Australia and feature rotating prisms - Tri Vision - allowing up to three display messages. A motor actuator is used to effect change and can rotate the display prisms in either direction with all prisms changing simultaneously.

AD Engineering Pty Ltd recently manufactured ten CMSs to be used in conjunction with a weigh-in motion system to monitor overweight vehicles and direct offending traffic to a monitoring station. The CMS can be operable through wireless communication and is visible and discernible under all ambient light and weather conditions.

TRANSPORTABLE RADAR SPEED DISPLAY (TRSD) - TRAFFIC CALMING PRODUCTS

AD Engineering Pty Ltd manufactures and distributes an extensive range of LED-based traffic calming products for driver education and awareness. The TRSD - Standard and the TRSD - Variable Message Display (VMD) are the most popular products and are distributed to State Government Authorities, State Road Transport Authorities, mining sites and road safety organizations throughout Australia.

The full matrix LED Display can be programmed with messages and/or graphics remotely via RF link or PC/laptop. An example display in a 40km/h school speed zone could be: "54 - TOO FAST - SLOW DOWN - SCHOOL ZONE".

VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT SIGNS (VSLS)

The LED speed limit signs are highly visible and create far greater driver awareness.

Surveillance cameras can be installed on busy highways/freeways allowing the relevant state/government authority to monitor traffic flow and weather conditions. The speed limit on the VSLS can be lowered or raised to reflect the current road conditions, ensuring a safer environment for motorists.

FLASHING SPEED SIGNS (FSS)

Safety around schools is "non-negotiable" and considered a priority by State Government and Transport Authorities in Australia. AD Engineering Pty Ltd has designed and manufactured a Flashing Speed Sign, which is an LED time-based changeable speed display. The FSS has been specifically designed to create greater driver awareness of the speed limit when approaching a school zone.

ARROW BOARDS

Arrow signs/boards are a very effective traffic directional product featuring a highly visible LED display and can be portable, trailer mounted or permanently installed.

The trailer-mounted Arrow Sign is battery operated with a supporting solar panel ensuring continuous in-field operation. The robust weatherproof design with vandal-resistant marine aluminium enclosure ensures operating and maintenance costs are kept to a minimum.

LANE USAGE SIGNS (LUS)

Lane Usage Signs (LUS) are the most effective and efficient lane management system available adding value to road infrastructure. The utilization of LED displays comprising, for example, of a RED cross and GREEN arrow in one aspect and a full AMBER lamp for the other aspect can affect a more efficient lane usage during critical periods such as peak hour traffic, tunnel traffic flow, road works, variable speed control lanes and adaptive traffic lanes.
