Hi-Vis Signs & Safety is a leading supplier of road, traffic, safety products and signage throughout Australia. Hi-Vis produces all types of road and traffic signs from simple stop / slow lollipop signs to large road signs for use on major freeways and intersections.

Hi-Vis regularly supplies products to over 1,000 customers, including those in the private sector, industrial, commercial and mining industries, councils, state and federal government departments and agencies.

Hi-Vis Group has operations in Newcastle, Singleton, Sydney, Queensland, and employs over 60 employees, plus 45 contract installation personnel.

Visual communications for road safety

Hi-Vis Signs has evolved into a diverse visual communication group with extensive digital printing capabilities and a distribution network throughout Australia. Hi-Vis was the first company to manufacture signs under contract from the RTA, and has been a continuous panel supply member for NSW RTA signage since 1993. Under this contract Hi-Vis has supplied traffic signage and related products with a total value of around $5m over the past three years, and approx $2m pa ongoing.

Hi-Vis sits on the MS12 Committee responsible for reviewing Australian Standard AS1742.1 - Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices - General Introduction and Index of Signs (2003).

LED solar-powered technology

Hi-Vis has been at the forefront of industry change and cutting-edge technology having invented the LED flashing remotely programmable solar-powered school zone signs now seen throughout New South Wales and Queensland. The same LED solar-powered technology has been adopted by major educational facilities and emergency services to optimise site safety.

Hi-Vis is also a specialist in the provision of safety products for roads, roadworks, construction and civil contractors including the latest in roadside LED magnet product technology. Hi-Vis has the largest range of road signage and safety products ex-stock for fast delivery from our Carrington warehouse.

Design, print and software for road signage

Hi-Vis has equipment as well as fully trained and qualified resources capable of producing output on a weekly basis. This includes:

• Over 8,000m²  of high-resolution large format digital print using three wide format Roland roll-to-roll printers and Vutek GS 3200 white ink technology ten-colour printer. This is the first printer of its kind in Australia
• Over 4,500m² of screen print capability on various substrates using three automated high-speed screen printing machines
• Lamination of over 2,500m² of films (vinyl and/or reflective) on any required substrate, including attachment of extrusion / strut if required for post mount
• A team of qualified installers / applicators in fully equipped vehicles capable of installing or applying signage or graphics on posts, buildings, windows, or vehicles
• A team of graphic designers, digital print specialists and vinyl cutters, operating the most modern design, pre-press, print, plot and kiss-cut software and hardware. This manufacturing and installation capability, along with a recruitment and training strategy designed around multi-skilling and workforce flexibility, allows Hi-Vis to consistently deliver large-scale orders and projects on-time to our customers Australia-wide
