SES is the leading solution provider worldwide for road signs and variable message signs (VMS). SES mobilises 530 associates, four manufacturing facilities and ten sales offices in France and one subsidiary in the US in order to provide competitive and high-performance turnkey solutions for:
Since SES invented the first VMS in 1984, our sole aim has been to keep on innovating in order to propose a whole range of solutions for performing information and traffic management.
SES full range of variable and dynamic message signs (DMS) are designed to equip all kinds of sites: tunnels, toll booths, highways, ring roads, etc.
Our electronic road signs (VMS, DMS, speed limit signs, LCS and BOS signs) are CE certified according to the EN12966 standard and comply with NEMA TS4.
SES has launched a new DMS solution with the M6000 range. The main customer benefits are:
SCU6 – the SES new-generation controller – allows a quick and easy maintenance diagnosis of the DMS through its colour screen. From any PDA or laptop with an internet interface, you can have access to the screen menus via a wireless connection. Maintenance operations are now fast and performed safely.
The M6000 range operates using NTCIP protocol, the ITS industry communication standard and is already installed in France, Brazil and North America.
SES continuously takes up challenges worldwide and knows how to adapt its technology to specific needs. This is how SES was the first sign manufacturer to provide aluminum gantries to the Netherlands.
Our DMS and VMS electronic architecture enable us to provide graphical displays for languages such as Russian, Arabic and Chinese.
For many years, SES has been one of the official suppliers for the Highways Agency (the UK road network's management agency) for variable message signs. Thanks to its R&D department, SES can anticipate customers' expectations, which led us to design MS4, MS3, AMI and MS1 signs.
Today, more than 900 SES signs are installed in the UK. SES was the first VMS manufacturer to use surface-mounted LEDs in MS4 signs. They were also able to provide the innovative lightweight solution for MS 2x12 signs. SES took up the challenge to improve sign legibility while reducing costs for customers.
