ABOVE-GROUND TRAFFIC MONITORING PRODUCTS

The SDR radar traffic classifier is an advanced radar vehicle detection device capable of monitoring vehicle flow, speed, classification and direction to high degrees of accuracy from a suitable safe roadside location.

Developed through the increased need for safe non-intrusive detection technologies, the SDR provides a direct replacement for in-road tube or loop-based counter classifiers.

With options for remote connection through Bluetooth® and GPRS, the SDR makes the monitoring of vehicles safe, efficient, effective and accurate.

SOFT TRANSPORTATION MONITORING

With the reduction in new road building and highway improvements, greater emphasis is now placed on demand management. The main outcome of this is a greater need to monitor person movements across all modes of transport. Traffic Technology provides a range of focused products to meet this growing demand.

Central to the Eco-Count range of soft transportation monitoring products is the Eco-Logger. Meeting an environmental rating of IP68 and having an autonomous battery life of 10 years, the Eco-Logger is 100% waterproof and comes with a two year warranty.

This market leading environmental specification allows for a completely invisible installation within a suitable small discrete underground chamber.

ACOUSTIC PRESSURE SENSORS

Traffic Technology provides a selection of acoustic pressure sensors. One or more of these buried sensors measure pedestrian footfall to accuracy levels of +/-5%. Acoustic pressure sensors can be installed in all soil types, except rocky ground.

Pyroelectric sensors are small discrete IR detectors, capable of measuring passing people. With a narrow beam width, the Pyroelectric can count two people following each other closely.

CYCLE MONITORING

ZELT cycle loop detection is capable of measuring cycles in mixed traffic conditions. The ZELT cycle loop is the next generation of cycle loop detection technology.

The hydroacoustic tube is a buried sensor designed for covert measurement of cycles on suitable cycle path locations. This sensor can be installed in all soil types, except rocky ground.

DIGITAL SAFETY DISPLAYS AND SPEED INDICATION DISPLAYS

The Digital Safety Display (DSD) is a lightweight portable road safety sign used to reinforce safety and education within our communities. This Speed Indication Display (SID) has gained acceptance by its friendly presentation of a serious message and is affectionately known as Smiley SID.

SID is a portable radar road safety sign that provides a visual deterrent to excess speed, increasing on-site safety and speed awareness. Housed within a rugged, portable, lightweight housing, SID can be deployed and active within minutes. SID flashes at speed violators and records each vehicle’s arrival time and speed for post processing using the MS Excel™ Speed Report software (supplied). Efficient use of the captured data can be made with targeted enforcement / education of offenders.

There is overwhelming evidence that lower speeds result both in few collisions and in reduced severity of collisions. Research shows that a 1mph reduction in average speed results in an average 5% reduction in crashes.

TRAFFIC DATA COLLECTION

Traffic Technology carry an extensive range of automatic traffic and pedestrian counters capable of providing clients with a variety of detailed information at long or short-term monitoring sites. To complement the equipment used on site, numerous analysis programs are available to enable data to be integrated and presented in formats to suit individual client needs
