GPS tracking systems for fleet vehicles

GPS tracking is the method of being able to identify where your vehicles are by using the global positioning system satellites that orbit the earth. This position is accompanied by a time and date stamp, giving you a total picture as to the location of your vehicle or assets and what time they were at any location. A flexible GPS tracking system supplier will offer you the ability to either rent or capital purchase a system. With renting you pay a fixed amount per calendar month over the agreed term - VEHTEC offers 12, 24 or 36-month contract terms.

If you opt for capital purchase, you pay for hardware and installation upfront with an ongoing licensing fee over the agreed term, or as a VEHTEC customer, obtaining a discount by paying for the hardware and contract term licensing fees fully in advance.

VEHTEC's eFMS v 4.3 fleet management software makes it easy to manage plant and fleet maintenance. The technology reduces the expenses associated with equipment downtime and unscheduled maintenance so when an unexpected situation arises, the software makes it easy to create a work order or purchase order, allocate resources or a supplier and track get the vehicle back on the road.

eFMS is an in-house developed, comprehensive, powerful and user-friendly software tool that enables fleet managers to plan, control, analyse and report on all aspects of operating and maintaining a fleet. The system also incorporates a GPS component allowing accurate data collection of vehicle related systems, including fuel economy, rev ranges, PTO usage, etc.
