After completion of several pilot projects, including Road 34 Glahytt-St Aby, E4 Enånger-Hudiksvall and Road 50 Mjölby-Motala, NCC Infra has chosen DynaRoad as the main tool for scheduling and optimising of major infrastructure construction projects.
“The result of our industrial approach provides repetitive impact and possibilities to standardisation that is useful in all types of projects,” says Thomas Lidberg, director of NCC Infra. “Thanks to building information modelling (BIM) we can ensure quality already in early design phases and control our machinery with higher precision. Modern IT tools are used in every phase of the production. We have chosen DynaRoad for scheduling, mass haul planning and production control. By mass haul optimisation we achieve higher efficiency while providing both lower costs and less environmental impact.”
He continues: “In the first phase of the implementation we train 14 people in the use of DynaRoad software. Our target is that every major project is optimised already in the bid phase, and that the same mass haul plan is then used as base for further production planning and control on site. We believe strongly in our concept and the cooperation with DynaRoad has worked perfectly.”
NCC Infra is a specialist business unit at NCC Construction Sweden working mainly in the fields of highway construction, renovation of existing European and national road networks, renovation of roads and terracing for railroad traffic. The unit consists of production units and specialists within estimating, design management and production management.
