Ourston Traffic Solutions to Distribute AutoTrack in the US and Canada

Savoy Computing Services, authors of AutoTrack, the world-renowned vehicle-swept path analysis software, has announced the appointment of US roundabout and traffic planning experts, Ourston Traffic Solutions, as their official US partner. Ourston will henceforth distribute and support all versions of AutoTrack in the US and provide a range of AutoTrack training courses.

Ourston Traffic Solutions is a subsidiary of North America’s leading roundabout design and consultation company Ourston Roundabout Engineering. Since 1984 they have been at the forefront of roundabout design. They have been prime movers in the introduction of roundabouts to North America, using state-of-the-art computer software to analyse and design roundabouts to help improve traffic flow management, intersection speed, safety and interchanges.
An impressively long list of significant achievements includes the first two modern roundabouts in US (Las Vegas, Nevada, 1990) and the first three roundabout interchanges in the US (Vail and Avon, Colorado, 1995 and 1997).
In 2001 Ourston published their definitive manual, Roundabout Design Guidelines, the only North American design manual that illustrates how to design the full range of roundabouts, from large high capacity roundabouts to small urban mini-roundabouts. Their reputation is widely recognised across North America and they are regularly asked to present papers at conferences and run workshops dealing specifically with aspects of roundabout design.
Ourston have been innovators in their use of engineering software in the field of traffic engineering for many years so a partnership with Savoy, authors of the world’s most advanced 3D vehicle swept path analysis program, AutoTrack, was a natural progression.
