Jerol - Composite Lighting Poles

Jerol Industri AB is a leading company in composite pole technology that holds a number of patents. The poles have been developed since 1999 to meet today's requirements for modern poles including crash safety and long lifetime. We have achieved over 45 full-scale crash-tests and complete calculations for all the poles.

We provide Jerol composite poles for:

  • Roadway lighting
  • Residential area lighting
  • Pedestrian crossing lighting
  • Lighting poles for railway stations

TYPES OF COMPOSITE LIGHTING POLES

We produce two different types of lighting poles - poles for residential areas and poles for more dangerous areas, like roads.

Jerol's range of crash-safety lighting poles are crash tested and approved according to the European norm. These poles have thick walls and absorbing straps inside.

Lighting poles for residential areas are also crash-safe according to the European norm, but they are not approved. They have thinner walls and no absorbing straps. They are a cheaper option for residential areas among other areas.

JEROL SAFETY LIGHTING POLES

Jerol's lighting poles fulfil the EN 12767:2000 norm. The strength of the lighting poles is calculated according to the European norm EN-40 for terrain category II (for roads in open landscape).

The lighting poles for residential areas are calculated for terrain category III.

As well as these safety features Jerol's composite lighting poles are:

  • Long-lasting and non-corrosive – the average pole lasts for over 60 years without maintenance
  • The trough-coloured outer layer of the lighting poles makes them almost scratchproof
  • Easy to clean and to remove graffiti from
  • Non-conductive
  • Easy and quick to install altogether - disturbance of adjacent traffic is minimal
  • Adjustable - leaning poles can easily be adjusted
  • Available in many long-lasting colours
  • Environmentally friendly and recoverable
  • Cost-effective

Jerol's lighting poles consist of a tapered inner tube of glass fibre reinforced polyester covered with a tuff coloured layer of polyolefin.

  • The diameter of the base of the poles reaches between 148mm and 214mm
  • The diameter of the top of the poles reaches between 84mm and 102mm
  • The luminary height above the ground reaches from 6m to 12m
  • The standard bracket is made of aluminium with an outer diameter of 60mm

For decorative reasons the poles can be dressed by outer profiles.

JEROL POLE PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT – ALSO AN OFFER

Alongside the development of lighting poles, Jerol has developed a pole production process. Jerol's modern production facilities are capable of producing at least 15 tons of fibre every 24 hours. This can result in the production of up to 50,000 poles a year. In spite of the continuous process, the poles can have a conical profile. These machines are also capable of producing sign poles.

As well as using these facilities for the production of our own cost-effective poles, we also offer this equipment for sale.
