High-mast lighting enables large areas to be illuminated without the need for numerous lighting columns that, under certain circumstances, can be a hazard to movement. This is possible because the system achieves very large space to height ratios.

High-mast lighting is suitable for many areas, particularly complicated or multi-level road systems, industrial or commercial areas, docks, airports, stations, car parks and even zoned areas. All of these areas require the best possible lighting with minimum interference from the installation itself.

FIXED AND MOBILE HEAD HIGH-MAST LIGHTING

Signature Architectural's high-mast lighting systems consist of a range of masts of varying height, and lanterns that can be selected to suit the required application. These can be installed on the mast in a variety of head-frame arrays, according to the requirements of the lighting design, and can be lowered to ground level for routine maintenance with the built-in winch system.

Existing systems can be refurbished using the facilities and services we provide. It is possible to replace only the main working components of the system, leaving the mast in place. All we require is the relevant information pertaining to the existing system and we will manufacture to specification.

CUSTOMISED HIGH MASTS

Signature Architectural's high masts are available in a variety of heights between 20m and 40m. These are manufactured in sections for ease of transport and then assembled on site. Custom-made masts are also available.

High masts can be utilised for many purposes and Signature have experience with adapting masts to carry sirens for flood warning systems, CCTV and much more. MAINTENANCE OF HIGH MASTS AND LANTERNS

Routine maintenance can easily be accomplished by lowering the lantern carriage but for closer inspection of the mast and assemblies a maintenance cage is available. The maintenance cage can be hoisted using the mast's winch system.

ELECTRICAL TESTING OF HIGH-MAST INSTALLATIONS

Thorough electrical testing is an important part of any high mast installation or maintenance procedure. Signature Architectural's high mast systems allow this to be done easily and efficiently at ground level.

Once the lantern carriage has been lowered, it can be connected directly to the control box in the base of the mast. All masts are fitted with raise and lower winch systems with the exception of the fixed-head masts.

LIGHTING AND LUMINARIES

The luminaries available for high-mast systems are many and varied and depend upon certain criteria. The lighting levels you need to achieve for the particular project in hand play a part in deciding which luminary you choose. LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEMS

The two typical lighting control systems mainly used are time switched lighting and photocell control. We provide both of these systems as standard but should you have any other requirements, please do not hesitate to ask.
