mPARK METERLESS - TICKETLESS PAYMENT SOLUTIONS

mPARK meterless offers councils and parking operators a ticketless solution, designed to operate independently of the requirement for parking meters, therefore providing a low cost alternative to traditional parking environments.

Based on the traditional mPARK management platform, mPARK meterless uses bar-coded or transponder / Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to allow motorists to pay for parking using their mobile phone.

MOBILE-PHONE PARKING PAYMENT

After registering for the mPARK service, motorists are issued permits that are displayed on their vehicles. When a motorist wishes to park in an mPARK meterless zone, they simply phone the mPARK service, supply their phone number, and how long they wish to park for or how much they wish to spend.

Similar to in the permit manager solution, enforcement officers validate motorists parking by scanning permits with wireless enabled handheld terminals. The terminals will check the status of the motorists parking on the mPARK server in real-time using wireless communications and confirm the parking details to the enforcement officer.

mPARK meterless offers both motorists and councils several distinct advantages. Motorists benefit from the convenience of being able to pay for parking from the comfort of their car via their mobile phone and councils / parking operators are not obliged to invest in either existing or new street-based parking infrastructures.

VALIDATING PARKING PERMITS ONLINE

This permit management service allows local authorities and parking operators to electronically issue, renew, manage and validate parking permits online. The system supports all types of standard permits including residential, visitor, commercial, seasonal and disability, whilst also giving councils and parking operators the opportunity to define their own permit types.

Payments are processed in real-time and enforced by license plate, transponder tags or barcode stickers. As part of our mPARK product suite, alphyra can deliver permit management as a stand-alone service or integrate it as a component of our mobile parking payment systems.
