CAR PARK AND INDUSTRIAL BARRIERS

All of our car park and industrial barriers are stringently tested to provide protection for vehicles ranging from 1.5t to 40t, and comply with BS 6399 Part 1: 1996 and BS 6180. They also comply with the stringent guidelines laid down in the recent ICE reports into protection in and around structures.

To complement our barrier range we also manufacture and supply a diverse range of bollards, speed restraints, rubber protection systems, access barriers and gates to provide the complete package of external works.

BERRY BRISAFE SAFETY BARRIER

Berry Systems has recently launched their new Berry Brisafe safety barrier. This perimeter edge protection system is ideal for new car parks as it is fixed to the structural supports and creates a visually attractive barrier that combines independently tested safety performance with architectural flexibility.

Unlike traditional vehicle barriers, the Berry Brisafe system can be supplied in any RAL colour and the combined in-fill can even include custom designs and logos, providing innovative opportunities for designers to create unique themes and to integrate identities between car parks and the facilities they serve.

Berry can now offer the new build market a perimeter edge safety barrier that requires no anchorage into the car park deck, has a zero bay footprint, and an integrated anti-climb system. On top of all this the barrier is re-usable after an impact and allows a very fast, simple and cost-effective single panel replacement when necessary.

FLEXIBLE BARRIER SYSTEMS

Barrier Rail is a flexible design based on BS 6399 designed to minimise impact damage to the impacting vehicle. There is a positive splice between the beam lengths and the overlapping design to ensure that no exposed ends face the traffic flow. It may be used with Flexi-Posts or spring steel buffers.

Spring steel buffers are designed to absorb a range of impact loads, from light industrial trucks up to 40t heavy goods vehicles. The spring steel buffers will significantly reduce barrier replacement, maintenance costs and the damage to structures (including the concrete deck). Rigid systems transfer far more force into the structure, thus making them unsuitable for use in most current car park environments.

Pedestrian safety is afforded by a combined beam and balustrade with a mesh panelling infill mounted on the flexible systems.

SPEED CONTROL PRODUCTS

Speed control products can be used to reduce the potentially higher speeds in surface car parks to safer levels. They can also be used in multi-storey car parks to reduce the need for 2x force barriers under BS 6399.
