ELECTRONIC VALUE SMART CARD LINKED TO ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT) NETWORKS

The Parcxmart card is a "chip only" plastic card that stores and securely manages electronic value. The electronic value can be used to pay for parking and purchases at participating Parcxmart merchant locations.

The Parcxmart™ card solution is linked to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) networks, retail merchants, and merchant banks on behalf of municipalities and the commuting public.

A Parcxmart™ card has electronic value (up to $100) loaded through Parcxmart-compliant POS terminals using cash or a debit or credit card processed via existing EFT networks, just as any other over-the-counter purchase using debit or credit is done today.

The consumer inserts the Parcxmart™ card into a variety of parking meters that incorporate Parcxmart Technologies' turnkey smart card payment platform, and pays for parking. All funds management and movement associated with the value of issued cards is managed by a bank. The parking system operator is reimbursed for revenue spent at city parking meters on a predetermined settlement schedule.

RELOADING PARCXMART SMART CARD

Once a Parcxmart card is obtained (for a nominal fee) at a participating merchant, value can only be loaded (and reloaded) onto the card by a participating Parcxmart merchant at the time of purchase, in set increments - up to a maximum of $100 in the US and to similar amounts in other markets.

Parcxmart's partnership with Verifone and Ingenico, the world's leading point-of-sale terminal manufacturers, means that the infrastructure to support Parcxmart cards is already available at many merchant locations, or can be easily installed as a replacement or side-by-side solution.

Parcxmart does not require the consumer to register a name or any other personal information in order to obtain a card.

SIMPLE CASHLESS PARKING PAYMENT METHOD

The driver can now use the Parcxmart card to pay for parking at any meter, garage or lot location participating in the program.
