SPEED DISPLAY TRAILERS

Decatur Electronics offers a variety of OnSite trailers for any traffic monitoring and enforcement applications. Speed display trailers are used in school zones, work zones, high accident locations, neighbourhoods near sharp curves and along city streets.

OnSite 100, 200, 300, 350 and 400 differ from each other by size, function and target usage. With automatically adjusting LEDs, violators can plainly see when they exceed the speed limit even during inclement weather. One-piece stationary directional true doppler radar (SI-2 or SI-3) is set to monitor approaching vehicles only. It displays the strongest of the faster moving vehicles.

S1-2 AND SI-3 SPEED INTERFACE™

The SI-2 is a computer board and a directional microwave transceiver packaged in a convenient enclosure. It is engineered to interface with your products and to process raw Doppler signals generated by the microwave transceiver. Effective speed range is 5kph to 320kph (or equivalent).

The program diskette and the flash memory design enable you to customize your own "speedometer".

A renewed version of SI-2 has been launched in the spring 2007. S1-3 SPEED INTERFACE™ has all the good qualities and technical features of SI-2 but is almost half the size. With weight of 0.52kg (1.14lbs) and length of 14.05cm (5.6in), SI-3 is easy to fit almost anywhere. Replacing the cable to the side instead of the back like it is at SI-2, the radar shortens even more.

GENESIS II™ DIRECTIONAL TRAFFIC SAFETY RADAR SYSTEM

Genesis II™ is easy to use and has outstanding performance. Its compact size and high-strength connectors make it an ideal choice for today's crowded police vehicles.

Genesis II's state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processing (DSP) allows you to isolate traffic in one direction and to use it in automatic same lane operation. The Genesis II car radar is fitted with a twin interference filtering system.

DIRECTIONAL RADAR FUNCTION

Genesis II Directional uses Silver Ring K-band directional antennae.

Whether a patrol vehicle is stationary or moving, the Genesis II Directional makes it easier to identify a target. You can track vehicles going in both directions simultaneously, or isolate your focus to traffic moving in either direction.

Decatur Electronics' moving directional technology, combined with the industry's first 32-bit DSP processing, makes the Genesis II the most advanced radar available today.

GENESIS VP™ DIRECTIONAL TRAFFIC SAFETY RADAR GUN

Direction selectivity has always been a feature of moving radar. In moving-mode (opposite-direction), the radar only shows the speed of oncoming traffic. Similarly, same-direction moving mode only shows vehicles travelling in the same direction as the patrol car. Now, Decatur expands this direction selectivity to stationary radar.

DIRECTIONAL MODE

With the Genesis VP, an operator can selectively monitor traffic coming toward, moving away, or in both directions simultaneously.

In heavy traffic situations, the operator can choose to make traffic moving in one direction "invisible" to the radar, thereby concentrating on the most problematic lane.

IMPROVED RFI REJECTION

Both the Genesis II and the Genesis VP utilize a unique combination of twin interference filters - one in the antenna and the other in the counting unit. They also include an RFI detection system in the computer. This redundant method improves the units' ability to reject outside interference and operate imperviously in high interference environments.
