GATSO’S SINGLE CAMERA SOLUTION

Gatso’s 11 megapixel GS11 camera delivers the highest level of evidential security and provides an innovative single camera solution for a wide range of traffic enforcement applications. For red light, speed on green or speed enforcement applications, a single camera monitors up to four lanes of traffic and captures clear images of offending vehicles, even in dense traffic. Images are captured regardless of whether the vehicle turns or drives straight on.

SPEED ENFORCEMENT CAMERAS

Gatso’s GTC-D and MCS camera systems provide advanced speed and red light enforcement, while the DRCS delivers high quality speed enforcement

• The Gatso GTC-D digital traffic camera clearly identifies vehicle licence plates over multiple lanes and railway crossings
• The flexible Multi Camera System (MCS) may be used at signalled intersections for red light enforcement or simultaneous monitoring of red light and speed offences, for railway crossings and tunnels, or for speed enforcement on motorways

POINT-TO-POINT® TIME-OVER-DISTANCE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT

For speed enforcement on motorways and multiple-lane highways, cameras are installed at several locations along the highway record to measure the average speed of vehicles over a pre-determined distance. At the end of the enforcement zone, the vehicle’s average speed between the two points is calculated.

ACCESS CONTROL

Automated control is highly beneficial in residential areas that are subject to unwanted through traffic, particularly during rush hour periods. A digital camera monitors passing traffic and records the vehicle licence plate. Local residents and service vehicles are exempted via a ‘white list’.

RAMP METERING

Cameras enable traffic authorities to monitor schemes which manage the access from critical junctions to motorways with high flow rates. Loop detectors monitor traffic flow on to the motorway and trigger the traffic signal to control traffic joining the motorway.

RAILWAY CROSSINGS

Reckless driving on railway crossings causes serious accidents, injuries and delays to the rail system. Traffic cameras installed at rail crossings identify offenders and provide the necessary deterrent.

TRAFFIC CAMERAS AT TUNNELS AND BRIDGES

Traffic cameras linked to a height sensor enable traffic authorities to monitor tunnels and bridges and ensure that over-height vehicles do not use them and cause damage.
