Automatic number plate recognition cameras

NDI-RS's ANPR cameras provide industry-leading capture quality and are supplied with unique features such as zoomable colour and IR modules, day / night camera modules, integrated light sensors and powerful infrared illumination options.

Obtaining high-confidence recognition results in bright sunlight or at night time can be a significant challenge. NDI-RS ANPR cameras have a number of features designed to combat these problems, including improved processing gain and narrow-band IR filtering.

NDI-RS supplies a complete range of ANPR cameras. The C3 series fixed-site ANPR camera has been deployed to secure the London and Manchester ANPR 'rings of steel' and is installed in more than 23 countries globally.

ANPR software with neural network technology

NDI-RS develops the neural network-based proprietary ANPR software called Talon. Talon ANPR software captures the highest-accuracy number plates at the highest speeds compared to our competitors.

Instead of relying on OCR processes, the NDI-RS engine uses complex algorithms for image manipulation and clustering analysis, which is able to recognise poorly defined, distorted and dirty characters. These work during all weather conditions with high and continuously improving recognition accuracy.

Due to the use of grey-scale character matching, the NDI-RS engine provides finer discriminations than binary or OCR methods, thus ensuring a high confidence level in the recognition.

Automated licence plate recognition cameras for multi-lane capture

The engine supports multiple camera systems allowing simultaneous multi-lane capture and optimum recognition performance for stationary, low or high speed traffic within milliseconds.

Multinational ANPR systems

Using sophisticated probabilistic context checking techniques, NDI-RS ANPR software can be configured for multinational number plate recognition allowing rapid deployment into new countries and territories. NDI-RS ANPR software provides:

• High speed of operation - can recognise many vehicles per second travelling at speeds of over 200km/hr - well in excess of typical highway speeds
