RedSpeed International Limited is a manufacturer of speed enforcement systems. The company's core business consists of the design, development, research / production and installation of digital speed camera systems for the registration of speed and red light offences.

REDSPEED™ - DIAL-UP DIGITAL RED LIGHT / SPEED VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM

RedSpeed utilises digital technology and therefore requires NO film. Unmanned fixed equipment is installed at the roadside where traffic violations are automatically detected by the system using appropriate sensors. Cameras fitted in the equipment record data about the offence and are stored ready for subsequent transmissions to a central computer. RedSpeed is approved by the UK Home Office.

REDGUARD™ - DIGITAL RED LIGHT VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM

The traffic lights are continuously monitored by the system. If a vehicle is detected crossing the stop line, when the signals are red, then two wide-angle photographs and one zoom image of the vehicle are recorded.

SPEEDCURB™ - DIGITAL SPEED VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM

The speed of vehicles passing through a monitored section of carriageway is measured by piezo sensors buried in the road surface. A built-in flash module permits operation at night and operational parameters may be programmed into the unit.

REDCHECK™ - BACK OFFICE OFFENCE PROCESSING SYSTEM

There are currently various models of speed cameras on our roads (wet-film, video cassette, digital) all photographing offending vehicles and recording data relating to the offence speed, date, time, etc. When an offence has occurred, the data is then collected together with information from the Police National Computer (PNC) related to the vehicle's registration details. All this is then communicated to, for example, the Vehicle Procedures and Fixed Penalty Office (VP/FPO), which processes and tracks fixed penalties issued for motoring offences.

SPEEDGUARD™ - PORTABLE SPEED ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM

SpeedGuard™ brings together a number of today's technologies to give a total solution to the portable speed enforcement industry. SpeedGuard™ is a compact handheld laser camera speed gun system and digital camera recording unit that has been designed and developed for easy use by the police forces around the world.

High-quality digital offence images are captured by the camera. Normally, three to four images are captured per offence. Depending on memory size used, the SpeedGuard™ can capture up to 7,000 offence images on one card.

SPEEDHUNTER™ - COMPACT LASER SPEED DETECTION SYSTEM

The SpeedHunter™ is an extremely compact, durable, high performance, laser speed detection system. Simply select, point and shoot at any moving vehicle coming towards or going away from you and measure its speed instantly. This system is state-of-the-art in speed detection technology and is ideal for today's modern police officer on duty in either a patrol car or on a motorcycle.

REDSPEED PLUG AND PLAY

RedSpeed International has developed a moveable RedSpeed system. RedSpeed Plug and Play comprises two system units - one containing the electronics and the other the power supply. Both units are housed within the camera pole itself. The electronics unit is capable of being moved from location to location allowing one live system to be moved between any number of selected poles.

FRONT PHOTOGRAPHY AND VEHICLE CLASSIFICATION (FOR SPEEDCURB AND REDSPEED SYSTEMS)

The RedSpeed system has now been developed even further in order to capture an additional front image. A second head, which is deployed ahead of the existing system, is able to capture an image of the vehicle's driver. Vehicle classification is required whenever the speed limit differs for the vehicle type, for instance, whenever there are restrictions on motorways or bus lanes.

TWIN-HEADED SYSTEM

Following on from the development of the Home Office-approved single-headed digital speed enforcement system, RedSpeed has taken this system several steps further and developed a system that is capable of monitoring four traffic lanes in one direction or simultaneous monitoring two lanes of traffic in two directions from one installation.
