RedSpeed International Ltd. is delighted to announce the launch of their latest product innovation RedSpeed Plug & Play.

RedSpeed Plug & Play is a moveable version and development of the RedSpeed system. RedSpeed Plug & Play comprises two system units containing electronics which are housed within the camera pole. The system units are capable of being moved from location to location allowing one live system to be moved between any number of poles. Simply slide the electronics into the metal casing within the camera pole, plug the system in and then switch the unit on. The system has all the functionalities of the fixed RedSpeed system so is capable of monitoring speed and/or red light enforcement.

The new system provides a cost effective deterrent as the location of the live system cannot be determined, therefore the threat of vandalism is largely reduced. It also gives the purchaser the option, which has not been available before, to change the live camera site location, meaning total flexibility and choice.

This new camera system also has many other benefits including a reduction in the installation time required for the system, as well as a reduction in the amount of disturbance caused at the site due to less routing of cables and equipment, for example, the electronics housing box - necessary with the fixed RedSpeed system, is no longer required, reducing the amount of space the whole system requires.

RedSpeed provides traffic enforcement solutions through digital images, speed detection and advanced technology and is committed to continually developing products for the traffic control industry. The company's core business consists of research / development, production, installation and maintenance of digital camera systems, for the capture of speed and red light offences.

RedSpeed prides itself on being a customer focused, solution-solving organisation. As an ISO9000 accredited company we listen to our customers and put their needs and requirements at the forefront of our business with their complete satisfaction being paramount. RedSpeed provides a high-class service and is committed to making quality products.

Also included within the RedSpeed Innovations range is the new front photography system and vehicle classification system. The front photography is a new system which enables the capture of the driver's image which makes identification for prosecution much easier and straightforward as well as creating unarguable evidence. The system works by positioning two camera poles along the same stretch of road, one pointing at the front of the vehicle to capture the driver image and one at the back of the vehicle to capture the image of the vehicle number plate.

Vehicle classification is the other new innovation developed by RedSpeed. This type of system is required whenever the speed limit differs for the vehicle type, for instance, whenever there are restrictions on motorways or bus lanes. The system will determine the vehicle type by its length it can be set with two different speed thresholds with a minimum length. A vehicle longer than the minimum length setting will be checked against the 'normal' threshold. This will determine whether the vehicle is permitted to be in the lane.

Both front photography and vehicle classification systems are new features which are compatible with the new RedSpeed P&P and can be integrated to form a custom made enforcement system to meet customers' needs and requirements.

Running up to the forthcoming launch, RedSpeed's Managing Director, Daniel Zaydman commented: "I am very proud to launch our new products at the Intertraffic Amsterdam 2006 exhibition.
