ROBOT Visual Systems, located in Monheim, Germany, is the world's largest traffic safety engineering leader, and specialises in the manufacture of cameras for toll enforcement, red light monitoring and speed monitoring. 70 years of experience with wet film cameras has given us the necessary competence to also develop and manufacture the digital camera here at ROBOT, which distributes its TRAFFIPAX and MULTANOVA traffic and road safety systems to more than 60 countries across the world.

This broad range of products includes stationary fixed cabinet solutions, tripod and vehicle-mounted options, through to a variety of flexible portable and container options. ROBOT manufactures a complete range of sensor techniques, including radar, laser, loops and Piezo.

ROBOT supplies more than 1,000 cameras annually and has installed more than 200 back-office processing systems. ROBOT solutions are designed to manage the total image capture, through to the complete processing chain, including despatch of the final infringement notice. Close co-operation with users is the focal point of ROBOT's services. We offer customers an individual and project-related adaptation of cameras, camera systems and road safety systems.

TRAFFIC RADAR UNITS WITH AUTOMATIC PHOTO RECORDING

The TRAFFIPAX SpeedoPhot II and the MULTANOVA 6F traffic radar units offer varied measuring and application possibilities permitting stationary or mobile use, i.e. as a tripod, in a cabin, container or vehicle. The excellent picture quality ensures that the licence plate number is clearly legible and the driver is perfectly recognizable, guaranteeing a trouble-free and evidential evaluation and processing of recorded traffic violations. The TRAFFIPAX SpeedoPhot II product can be equipped with both our wet film camera and digital camera.

TRAFFIPATROL SPEED MONITORING SYSTEM

The TraffiPatrol is a portable system, used for speeding violations that do not require photographic evidence. Precise readings appear on a head-up display and on a separate LED unit. TraffiPatrol can be used in conjunction with a reporting unit to create on-the-spot reports, which are stored during use and can be later transferred onto a PC for processing.

TraffiPatrol V, a further application for video, combines all the benefits of first-rate laser metering with the advantages provided by digital image documentation.

TRAFFISTAR S 340 (MODULAR CONCEPT FOR SPEED MANAGEMENT)

The stationary speed monitoring system TraffiStar S 340 can be used to permanently defuse accident spots that are beset by excessive speed. Without the need for any personnel, the measuring system operates fully automatically. Synchronous frontal or rear pictures can be taken for conclusive proof of guilt of motorbikes, and powerful flashlight technology gurantees an optimum illumination of the object field in unfavourable lighting conditions. The TraffiStar S 340 speed camera is equipped with a ROBOT SmartCamera, which documents traffic violations and makes it possible to control and monitor the entire system at the same time using an integrated PC.

TRAFFIPHOT III-SR FOR RED LIGHT MONITORING WITH SPEED MEASUREMENT

Red light offences at traffic light systems have become increasingly commonplace and cause serious accidents. Effective red light monitoring sensitises road users to traffic regulations and helps effect a clear drop in traffic offences and accidents.

The TraffiPhot III-SR records all vehicles crossing the stop line during the red light phase of a traffic light, and operates 24hrs a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. When a vehicle crosses the stop line during the red phase, two pictures are taken as proof. All details for prosecution, such as the time and date, distance over the line and speed, are contained in a data line printed on the upper margin of the photograph.

SMARTCAMERA FOR TOLL ENFORCEMENT

Enforcement is an essential element of the toll system, serving to ensure prosecution of payment defaulters by securing evidence. The enforcement system utilises ROBOT's digital SmartCamera, which integrates a progressive CCD unit, digitalisation of analogue CCD picture signals, a powerful, embedded PC and a hard disk within a compact housing.

TRAFFIVISION (VIDEO SPEED ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM) FOR SPEED MONITORING

The ever-increasing volume of traffic has necessitated effective road safety systems. ROBOT cameras ensure effective speed monitoring, which alerts road users to the necessity of keeping within the speed limit, helping to reduce traffic offences and thus accidents.

TRAFFIPAX TraffiVision is a video speed enforcement system combining the latest video technology with high accuracy speed measurement equipment. The system can incorporate mobile radar equipment for moving and static radar speed measurement.
