Sensys develops, produces and markets various products for traffic information and safety within the motor vehicle sector. With more than 20 years' experience, Sensys provides a complete set of enforcement products for traffic information and safety.
The RS240 radar is the heart of all Sensys' products. It can be used for speed enforcement, red-light enforcement, section control enforcement, traffic counting, video monitoring, incident detection and much more.
The unique multi-target tracking function, which enables measurement of the speed of each vehicle more than 20 times per second, makes the RS240 an extremely advanced radar. The system also provides the highest level of legal security on the enforcement market.
Most governments all over the world prioritise the improvement of road safety. One of the available tools for influencing the behaviour of road-users is traffic law enforcement – and in particular speed enforcement.
In Sweden, the Speed Safety System (SSS) has been introduced to the public as the new life saver. Statistics show a positive effect on road safety.
For stationary use, the SSS system is installed in a cabinet mounted on a pole. The cabinets are made for all weather conditions and can be delivered with heaters and fans or air conditioning.
Sensys' Mobile Speed Safety System (MSSS) is very compact and versatile. Setting up the system takes just a couple of minutes.
The system is pre-configured. If required, a customised configuration may be made on site via a handheld computer (PDA). Further to a speed-check session by the roadside, the data may be transferred to a memory stick or laptop for further-processing in an office.
The Sensys MSSS is a true point-and-shoot device and can function unattended.
Red-light jumping is one of the most critical traffic violations. Sensys radar's unique ability to discern distance is used to detect a vehicle passing the stop bar during the red-light phase.
If it is expected that a vehicle will not (be able to) stop before the stop bar, the Red Light Safety System (RLSS) will take a picture of the vehicle just before the stop bar, showing its position, the red light and the license plate.
If the radar detects that a vehicle is indeed passing the stop bar during the red-light phase, the RLSS system will take a second picture after the vehicle has fully passed the stop bar. The second picture may be taken either by the same camera from the rear or by a second camera located across the intersection. The latter option allows for driver identification should such be required by law.
A workplace may perhaps not be occupied by workers throughout the day, which may lead to drivers neglecting the applicable speed limit. Although this may be tolerated during off-hours, it will definitely create a dangerous situation should work be in progress.
Sensys has therefore designed the Road Working Area Safety System (RWASS), based on the MSSS. It warns drivers for excess speeding, alarms road workers of potentially dangerous situations, and enforces the applicable speed limit.
Systems with considerable public benefits
Sensys' broad product range contains systems that can reduce environmental pollution in traffic, minimise the risk for delays in rail traffic and identify road accidents. But, most importantly, Sensys' systems are designed to save lives and prevent unnecessary human suffering.
Exhibitions
Sensys will attend several exhibitions around the world during 2009. Please visit our website for more information.
The only limit of our systems is your imagination. That's why Sensys stands for endless possibilities.
