GLASS BEAD INNOVATION

Potters' advanced technology has been employed around the world to develop unique products tailored for local road and climate conditions. Our Visibead®, Visimax®, and Starlitebead® safety marking sphere product lines stand above the film of water on wet pavement lines and provide bright, continuous roadway delineation. They overcome the limitations of conventional highway marking beads to provide superior wet-night visibility.

IMPROVING HIGHWAY SAFETY

We work with governments around the world to address improvements in highway safety. Our ongoing retroreflectivity research, leadership and innovation have set the standards for reflective highway markings. We continue to work extensively with highway safety interest groups. TECHNICAL SERVICE

The full range of Potters' technical support is superior. It starts with in-depth R&D conducted in our advanced laboratories in the US, Australia, Japan, and Europe and extends all the way to the road. Our research efforts are focused on greater highway safety. Our researchers have studied the optical efficiency of glass spheres. We have examined the chemical bonds that must be formed to secure reflective spheres to pavement markings. We have developed special coatings for our highway marking spheres that form a tenacious bond with the marking material.

Our Highway Safety Research Center, one of its kind in the world, includes a fully enclosed, climate-controlled, two-lane highway which allows researchers to simulate rain, fog and other hazardous driving conditions.

Our experts visit road marking sites to ensure proper sphere application for long-term customer satisfaction.
