ASTUCIA – ROAD STUDS AND CAT'S EYES

Astucia has developed solar powered cat's eyes that reduce casualties on twisting and hazardous roads and dynamic lane marking systems to improve the effectiveness of road networks.

The SolarLite road stud with its built in solar powered LED automatically illuminates from dusk to dawn and is visible for up to 900m, 10 times further than the traditional retro-reflective passive road stud.

Hardwired road studs for in road hazard marking and dynamic lane marking are customisable, highly visible, in-road lighting systems. They reduce accidents and collisions at road intersections. Dynamic lane marking systems provide the ability to change the use, priority and even the direction of travel to suit the real-time demands of traffic management.

GOLDEN RIVER – AUTOMATED TRAFFIC COUNTING AND CLASSIFYING

Golden River is a leader in the field of automated traffic counting and classifying. It provides the following products and services:

Designed to meet the demands of any location, the 8/16 loop Marksman® 68x range can be either solar powered, rechargeable battery or mains powered. The M68x has full vehicle by vehicle recording capabilities and up to 10 million records can stored in its upgradeable non-volatile memory as standard. Vehicle type classification along with speed, length, (interval or VBV recording) is all possible.

The Marksman 500 above ground vehicle classifier has unique features to minimise roadside installation time and increase installation safety. Bluetooth and auto-adjust positioning of the sensing head permits safe and easy operator set up.

Golden River's journey-time monitoring systems are a most meaningful measure of a network performance and can form valuable information for ITS systems. Origin and destination matrices provide demand information, input for traffic models and support for multi mode journey options.

Golden River provides real-time traffic information. In the UK there are over 2,000 real-time monitoring outstations. We accurately record 55 million real-time vehicle movements a day, which which works out at over 600 per second.

Golden River is a world leader in shadow toll schemes. With 14 years' experience in the configuration, installation, maintenance and verification of traffic data for shadow toll schemes, Golden River operate over 240 outstations covering more than 400km of major roads. These schemes are both accurate and reliable with an unrivalled performance of greater than 99% up time.
