THREE BBS / UPS CASE STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM

We manufacture our products in three case styles to fit our customers' needs. The M-case is used in an external type cabinet. The Y-case is used in a rack mount type cabinet. The J-case is used in a NEMA cabinet. Whatever your application, we have a model to fit.

BATTERY BACKUP SYSTEMS

Our battery back up systems come in different output wattages to fit your needs.

Standard BBS: Our 1,100W battery backup system fits the requirements for most LED intersections. The model numbers are DUI-24M11, DUI-24Y11 and DUI-24J11.

High-power BBS: Our 1,700W battery backup systems are used in intersections with unusually large loads. The model numbers are DUI-48M17, DUI-48Y17 and DUI-48J17.

Replacement BBS: This model is designed to work as replacement unit for 48VDC competitors' models when used with our battery backup system adapter kit. This configuration will allow you to use your existing bypass switch / automatic transfer relay and your existing battery cable. You can even change systems while the signal is in full operation. The model numbers are DUI-48M11 for the BBS and 622143 for the battery backup system adapter kit.

CALTRANS AND OTHER AGENCY APPROVALS

Our products are Caltrans approved and we are listed on the Caltrans ABL. We are also the current provider to Caltrans for battery backup systems.

We have been approved by MNDOT, GADOT, AZDOT and many other counties and cities across the US.

We are UL listed for use with traffic signal equipment.

SUPPORT PRODUCTS – BYPASS SWITCHES AND BATTERIES

Bypass switches: These allow for easy field maintenance by allowing the intersection to operate normally while the field technician works on the battery backup system.

We offer two types of 'combo' bypass switches. The combo bypass switch has the automatic transfer relay as well as the manual bypass switch in one housing. This is offered in either an 'open back' or a fully enclosed, 'closed back' housing. Both can be rack or shelf mounted.

We also offer a two-piece bypass switch assembly. This has a separate manual bypass switch and automatic transfer relay. These items are designed for rack-mounted applications. The manual bypass switch mounts on the left, and the automatic transfer relay comes in left or right mount.

Batteries: We use AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) / VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries. These are a high-quality, maintenance-free sealed batteries that are well suited to battery backup systems.
