Econolite 332A Cabinet Approved for Caltrans QPL

23 June 2006

Anaheim, California - Econolite is pleased to announce that its 332A cabinet submitted for Caltrans Qualified Product Listing (QPL) compliance has fully met the requirements of the Caltrans Traffic Signal Control Equipment Specifications (TSCES), dated January 1989, and applicable addendum, and the Transportation Electrical Equipment Specifications, (TEES), dated August 16, 2002 and applicable addendum.

This approval marks an important milestone in that it increases the opportunities for Econolite to provide traffic controller cabinets to additional agencies across the country. Caltrans has long been respected as an agency that establishes the highest standards in the transportation industry. The Transportation Electrical Equipment Specification (TEES) is regarded as the most stringent in the world. Econolite is one of a small group of companies within the transportation industry that has met the QPL guidelines for the 332A cabinet.

Econolite has been committed to providing the highest quality products for over 73 years. As part of that commitment, Econolite submitted the 332A controller cabinet for evaluation with the utmost confidence that the company's drive for quality would present a cabinet that would meet Caltrans' specifications and requirements. Leah Fuss, Econolite's Cabinet Product Manager, comments, "Adding the Caltrans 332A cabinet to our product offering greatly enhances our ability to respond to our customers' needs."

The Econolite 332A controller cabinet is extremely versatile, supporting up to eight vehicle and pedestrian phases while offering interchangeability as defined by Caltrans and FWHA. Our 332A cabinet is designed to house a Model 170 or 2070 controller unit. We offer optional modules to allow for expansion of the capabilities to include overlap operation and a variety of special function outputs. The Econolite 332A traffic controller cabinet adds to an already comprehensive catalog of traffic control products aimed at improving quality of life for the driving public.
