eyevis won a number of new contracts in 2008. These include the following:

Telefónica, Spain

Telefónica, based in Madrid, Spain, is a leading private company in the global telecommunications market, and is listed on the main international stock exchanges. With a presence in 24 countries, Telefónica employs an average of 249,000 people, and in March 2008, provided access to more than 233 million customers – 171.6 million mobile phones accesses; 43.4 million landline telephones accesses; 13.5 million internet and data accesses, and 1.8 million pay-per-view accesses.

Telefonica has put into operation a flagship store on an 8,000m² in downtown Madrid as the company looks to impress people especially on its exclusive launch in Spain of Apple's new third-generation, iPhone. The store is located on two floors of the company's former headquarters on Gran Via, 28. Built between 1926 and 1929, Edificio Telefónica was for many years Spain's tallest building, standing at over 88m.

The ground floor showcases Telefonica's mobile and fixed line phones, while the upper floor includes displays of prototypes and telecommunications packages for businesses. In this flagship store Telefonica installed a lot of AV systems, like LED walls, LCD screens, terminals and videowalls. One of these videowalls is from eyevis consisting of nine eyevis rear-projection cubes EC-67-XT. This videowall will be used to show presentations of the new Apple iPhone.

Hellenic Navy, Athens Greece

The Greek navy changed an existing Barco videowall into a new eyevis videowall system, consisting of 3x3 eyevis EC-67-XT-DL and 2x1 EC-67-XT-DL, in connection with a netpix split controller and the eyecon wall-management software. This system is used in one of their main control rooms in Athens.

NATO in Shape, Belgium

Some other military references in 2008 were two videowalls for control rooms at the NATO headquarter in Shape, Belgium. One for the Command Centre VTC Room consisting of 4x2 EC-50-SXT+, one NPX-3808R-V16-IP8-D8-L2 and the eyecon wallamangement software.

As the customer was more than satisfied with this system, a second system could be installed at the Information Security Technical Centre (NITC), an eyevis large screen system consisting 5x2 EC-50-SXT+, a NPX-3812-V0-IP0-D8-L2E and the eyecon wallmanagement software.

Comisión Federal de Electricidad, Mexico

Several large screen walls were installed in different sizes and are being used for power generation, power transmission and distribution.
