Induction loop detectors for measuring vehicle classification and speed
FEIG’s range of induction loop detectors comprises intelligent traffic solutions for measuring vehicle speed and classification applications.
The company’s VEK S4 and VEK S4C detectors are specially designed for these purposes and capable of detecting vehicle speed, length or classification on two traffic lanes with two double-loop systems.
They also detect net time gaps, occupation times and jam recognition, as well as enable easy and direct control of changing traffic signs.
FEIG’s solutions feature automatic calibration / frequency adjustment capabilities, LED-display, and adjustable data transmission between RS 485 and CAN-BUS interfaces.
Detectors are available in plastic housing (direct mounting on DIN-rail) or a 19in board, and come with a front-side service interface, axis information, service and diagnostic software.
FEIG’s solutions include vehicle classification and data transmission proficiencies based on regulations of Germany’s Federal Department of Traffic.
Vehicle presence detectors for road tunnels and intersections
FEIG’s VEK M4D and VEK M4DC detectors are mostly used for traffic counting (tunnel control) and traffic light systems on intersections.
Available with controller area network (CAN) and RS485 interfaces, they are capable of detecting four single loops or two sets of double loops of road traffic.
Additional special features of FEIG’s vehicle presence detectors include four-channel and bus detection, in addition to detector synchronisation and multiplexed loops to avoid cross-talk.
