URBAN TRAFFIC CONTROL NETWORKS

The increasingly expanding road network calls for effective surveillance and a high level of safety for road traffic. The safety of urban traffic, motorways and tunnels presents a major challenge and responsibility for our experienced traffic experts who have gained extensive expertise in these systems. Our customers are offered the most advanced road traffic safety system solutions based on remote control from control centres, resulting from our own know-how and collaboration with business partners and institutions. We offer a complete urban traffic control network solution, from strategy plan through to an executed turnkey project.

These systems include microcomputer-based traffic light controllers and detector controllers – these are from the MSKE traffic controller family (MSKE60 and MSKE60/S). The system also includes signal light heads and optional accessories, time countdown devices and means of announcement (pushbuttons for pedestrians and for the blind, and electronic data exchange with railway traffic). Additionally, we provide changeable traffic signs, information display boards, micro control equipment (inductive loop detectors, microwave sensors, etc.) data concentrators and communication interfaces.

MOTORWAY TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS

Iskra produces road traffic control and surveillance systems. These consist of traffic control, detection, video surveillance, environmental measurements, information and warning systems on traffic and environmental conditions (such as driving and tourist information, accidents, visibility, pollution, weather and noise). A system can be upgraded into a complex traffic management system and integrated into a regional traffic management system.

We provide an emergency call system, which encompasses peripherals (including roadside SOS telephones) and the centre (central unit, synoptic board, interconnecting with the necessary data bases, etc.)

We provide a tolling-in-motion system, and other toll collection systems, including:

  • Electronic toll collection (microwave TAG, chip card terminal, manual, etc.)
  • Electronic cash register
  • Toll plaza traffic and pay-toll transaction control equipment
  • Main supervisory computing system
  • Secure communication solutions in the local intranet of the system and optional gateway to higher supervisory level or other networks

TUNNEL CONTROL SYSTEMS

Our range of tunnel control systems consists of a video surveillance system (CCTV), video detection system, access control systems, (number plate recognition, height control, toll fee payment, speed control system, etc.), emergency call system, visibility and CO detection and warning systems, ventilation system, fire protection, burglar alarming, communication systems (loudspeaker system, radio, GSM links, etc.) a power supply system (high, middle and low-voltage system, Uninterruptible Power Supply [UPS] system), an illumination system and a drainage system.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS

Iskra's range of road access control systems includes systems for the following applications,

  • Toll plazas
  • Border crossings
  • Road pricing
  • Other places of restricted access

CENTRALISED COMPUTER CONTROLLED SYSTEM:

Iskra has the capacity to implement a full computer controlled system, with reliable hardware for computers of control centres, (including master computer and terminals for workplaces and peripherals with optional stand-by solutions). We provide supporting software for error-free system functioning on-line and stand-by, as well as for application dependent surveillance and controlling proposes, self-diagnostics, data acquisition, processing, evaluating and storage, algorithms of optimisation and hierarchy in several function modes.
