Since its founding in 1949, Leister Process Technologies has operated in the legal form of a sole proprietorship. With the growth over the last few decades, diversification into additional business areas, as well as the formation of companies in the United States, Germany, China and Japan, Leister has developed into a group of companies.
In order to optimize and efficiently manage all business units, effective immediately, the single company is transforming into a holding structure with independent limited companies. All group companies are in possession and under the overall direction of Christiane Leister. None of the current Swiss activities are being transferred into other countries.
- Leister AG will act as the holding company and will be responsible for the management and control of the Leister group.
- Leister Technologies AG will take over the well-known businesses in the area of plastic welding, hot air blowers for industrial processes and laser systems.
- The present business unit, Axetris, will now be converted into an independent company, Axetris AG, and will remain active in the areas of gas sensors and micro optics.
- The existing national affiliates will continuously develop their activities and remain untouched.
The management teams of the newly established companies are all well-proven Leister managers.
The new corporate structure sets the necessary basis to successfully develop the future of all Leister activities and its worldwide market leadership.
