Children Injured in Motor Vehicle Traffic Crashes

10 August 2010

The US Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration published this report, with an aim of analysing the incidence rates of incapacitating injuries and looking at the commonly injured body parts among children under eight years old involved in motor vehicle traffic crashes.

The report deals with the study's statistical analysis of two different databases; one based on a probability sample of police-reported traffic crashes, and the other based on clinical information for a national sample of trauma incidents.
