The Sustainable Safety Approach to Road Transport and Mobility
31 August 2010The European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ECTRAC) released this study with Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes (FERSI) to suggest a sustainable traffic safety system.
The paper elaborates on one of the four important areas of ERTRAC, namely safety, and checks its impact on the other three priority areas – urban mobility, long-distance transport, and energy and environment.
The report also emphasises that the importance of accident prevention and mitigation, and recommendations were given for independent and transparent accident investigation in Europe.
