Idris Congestion Charging System Measurement Software

Congestion Charging Schemes (CCS) are designed to reduce traffic volume during peak traffic periods, improve accessibility for public transport systems within the inner zone area and monitor traffic patterns relating to the congestion charging area. These objectives can be successfully achieved by using Diamond Consulting's Idris software as part of a system provided for a congestion charging scheme.

Idris is an interoperable, algorithm-based software technology which can meet, support or improve many of the requirements of a congestion charging system. Such an installation will incorporate in-ground loop sensors and Idris technology for Automatic Vehicle detection and Classification (AVC), Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) tag correlation and enforcement triggers.
