US-based transportation company Arrivo has partnered with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and E-470 Public Highway Authority to build the first-ever high-speed Super Urban Network to serve the greater Denver region.

The autonomous network of Arrivo has been designed to eliminate traffic by limiting vehicles to move at speeds up to 200mph through a new, seamless layer of transportation that connects with existing roadways, city metros and automobiles.

Additionally, Arrivo will open an Engineering and Test Center in Commerce City, Colorado, which will house a team of engineers and technicians building a full-system test track and additional R&D operations.

Arrivo co-founder and CEO Brogan BamBrogan said: “Arrivo is set to deliver on the promise of 21st Century transportation.

“Denver is a perfect place to both develop and debut our technology in a system where everyone wins. Passengers will move seamlessly and directly to their destinations, while the region will benefit from greater mobility and the elimination of traffic, unlocking even more robust growth and economic firepower for residents and businesses.”

“Arrivo is set to deliver on the promise of 21st Century transportation.”

Denver’s Super Urban Network by Arrivo is set to link the entire region within 20 minutes of all destinations.

Initially, Arrivo and CDOT will conduct a feasibility study for constructing the first phase of the project between Denver International Airport and Aurora Commerce Center.

Construction is expected to begin next year and the automated lanes will be operational as early as 2021.

Arrivo will implement the hyperloop transportation concept on a shorter, regional distance.

The new system will make use of electric power to propel the vehicles and magnetic levitation to float the vehicles at high speeds.

The infrastructure developed by Arrivo can be used by multiple vehicles, including a vehicle that allows users to shuttle their own car through the system.
