Rijkswaterstaat intends to improve connectivity across the region through the proposed project.

UK-based Transport for London (TfL) has awarded a contract to Siemens for the development of viable software to enable the seamless implementation of Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

“TfL intends to use the software to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emitted by the vehicles.”

The advanced software solution will gather information from the existing sensors on roads and will observe the vehicles causing a high rate of pollution. It will enable TfL to identify the incompliant vehicles according to the standards of low-emission zones (LEZ).

TfL intends to use the software to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emitted by the vehicles.
