NAVTEQ has launched its next generation traffic system, a web-based map, traffic, commuter and trip planning service for road users in North America.
TrafficOne offers new graphics such as satellite maps and hybrid views, including new features like personalised traffic-enabled routing for users.
The system will provide users with improved access to information for their daily commute and will also provide route comparison features with information on traffic conditions and distance, satellite map views and personalised live traffic reports.
The enhancements include enhanced trip planning features like detailed coverage of 52 North American metropolitan area markets, plus extended coverage to 134 others throughout the US and Canada.
It can also be used by the broadcast industry to extend their online audience reach, and provide listeners and viewers with the kind and quality of traffic information commuters need.
TrafficOne system is powered by the company's automotive-grade quality map data and its traffic service, Traffic, which is already in use.
