Boomerang Systems, a US-based designer and manufacturer of automated robotic parking garages and self-storage systems, has entered into an agreement to provide 480 parking spaces for BrickellHouse in Miami through its RoboticValet Parking System.

The RoboticValet Parking System is powered by robots that drive on concrete slab floors to move vehicles to and from parking spaces without the use of a rail or track.

In addition to removing the need to build ramps, the technology lessens the number of drive aisles and allows cars to fit in half of the space required by a conventional garage.

Boomerang’s RoboticValet Parking System will allow BrickellHouse to use this saved space to build a more profitable residential area.

The technology also reduces carbon emissions and uses less electricity for ventilation and lighting as cars will be shut off before being parked in the garage.

"Boomerang’s RoboticValet Parking System will allow BrickellHouse to use this saved space to build a more profitable residential area."

Boomerang Systems president Chris Mulvihill said that the company’s technology is ideal for areas where space is at a premium and the emphasis is on convenience, safety and modern building technology.

BrickellHouse’s development marks Boomerang’s fourth automated parking project under contract in Florida, while other projects are contracted in New Jersey, Virginia, Kansas, Mississippi and California.

Headquartered in New Jersey, the company is engaged in selling, designing, engineering, manufacturing, installing and supporting its own line of fully automated parking and self-storage systems.

Boomerang Systems also has research, design, testing and production facilities in Logan, Utah.
