Deals this week: Bama Civil, Sweco, Atkins


Bama Civil has been contracted for works on a 1.65km stretch of the Peninsula Developmental Road at Ten Mile Creek.

The Australia-based construction company has won the contract from the Queensland Government.

The contract award is part of the A$260.5m ($201.6m) Cape York Region Package by the Australian and Queensland governments. Works under the entire package are expected to be completed by 2019.

Sweco has been awarded a Skr70m ($8.61m) contract by Veidekke to design the new 24km-long E6 motorway in Hedmark, Norway.

The E6 motorway is scheduled to open for operations in December 2020.

Atkins, an engineering and project management consultancy, has signed an agreement with Moovit, a data and analytics company.

The infrastructure experience of Atkins and data-driven analytics of Moovit will be combined to provide real-time, value-driven insights to explore the movement of people throughout public spaces and on transport networks.
