EV Arc

US-based Envision Solar International is set to launch EV ARC, the world’s first fully autonomous, mobile, renewable electric vehicle (EV) charging station.

According to Envision Solar, the EV ARC, which is ready for shipping, is a cost-effective, easy-to-install, standalone charging station that does not require foundations, trenching, a building permit or grid connection.

Designed to fit inside a standard parking space, the new charging station will not reduce available parking as the vehicles park on the station’s ballasted pad.

EV ARC is ADA compliant and will provide 24/7 services using on-board battery storage.

Envision Solar president and CEO Desmond Wheatley said that EV ARC units can be installed in minutes and can be moved without disturbing the host site.

"EV ARC is a paradigm shifting technology product, which should appeal to anyone who is interested in rolling out EV chargers," Wheatley added.

EV ARC generates around 16kWhrs per day that are stored and ready for use in the 22kWhr on-board battery storage.

The system features EnvisionTrak that will enhance its clean solar electrical generation by enabling the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18%-25% more electricity than a conventional fixed array.

"The EV ARC is ideal for any entity looking for rapid, hassle-free deployments of a charging infrastructure without all the challenges associated with conventional units," Wheatley noted.
