Traffic technology developer Image Sensing Systems has made a new addition to its traffic management product line with the next-generation RTMS Sx-300 with HD camera.

The new technology intends to provide a versatile radar sensor for better detection on roadways.

The RTMS Sx-300 HDCAM enables users to check the zone setup across all lanes and undertake real-time visual traffic surveillance anywhere and at any point of time.

"These multimodal sensors provide traffic management experts the ability to collect traffic data and imagery to manage their roadways better than ever."

The HD camera is designed to produce clear images. It also features dual streaming video channels.

The Sx-300 is designed to provide high-quality lane detection capabilities along with the precision needed to keep the daily traffic congestion at bay.

Image Sensing Systems traffic management product manager Nathan Silver said: "Never before has a high-precision radar detector been coupled with a high-definition camera, all in a single device.

"The image quality from the Sx-300 HDCAM is simply astonishing. These multimodal sensors provide traffic management experts the ability to collect traffic data and imagery to manage their roadways better than ever."

This radar-based device has been designed to detect and measure traffic and is claimed to perform accurately in all weather conditions and is maintenance-free, reported Traffic Technology Today.

This new traffic monitoring system will be exhibited at the 2015 Gulf Traffic conference and exhibition, which will be held from 7 to 9 December in Dubai, UAE.
