SNC Lavalin has completed $77.4m reconstruction work on the Princess Margaret Bridge in Fredericton, Canada.

The project includes replacement of the deck, refurbishment of the piers, steel repairs, completion of bearing replacement and painting.

The work allows vehicles weighing 62,500kg to pass over the bridge, compared to the 43,500kg restriction it had before November 2008.

The bridge is one of the two main bridges that cross the St. John River and connects Fredericton city’s north and south sides.
