The Saudi Government has approved 16 contracts worth SAR2.24bn ($597m) to build 969km of roads in the country.
The projects involve the completion of Hair-Houta Road, which will link with Hareek, as well as the construction of a 46km Niam link road.
Omeir company has won the Hair-Houta Road project, which is worth SAR446m ($118m).
As part of the contracts, new road projects will be implemented in the Makkah province including the Hada-Jamoom ringroad.
The SAR100m ($26m) Hada-Jamoom project will be carried out by Masharie Al-Watan company.
