Transport for London (TfL) has contracted Clearview Intelligence to supply and maintain traffic control infrastructure across its road network.

The two contracts awarded to Clearview have an initial two year basis period with the option to extend up to an additional 24 months, the company stated.

Clearview will supply and maintain automatic traffic and cycle counting equipment across the TfL road network.

In addition to maintaining existing equipment, the company will supply new equipment, when required, across the 304 automatic counter sites (ATC) and the 170 automatic cycle counter (ACC) locations.

Clearview Intelligence managing director Nick Lanigan said: "Winning these kind of prestigious and important contracts shows the full range of capabilities that Clearview Intelligence has to offer to leading edge city operations and planning teams.

“The unparalleled support delivered through our operations team gives our clients the confidence that their traffic monitoring will always be accurate and up-to-date."

TfL currently manages traffic control infrastructure on behalf of all 32 London Boroughs, Highways England, Royal Parks and The Corporation of London.

Within TfL, the Outcomes, Insight and Analysis team delivers engineering solutions through modelling techniques, by providing constant improvements to London's road network.

In order to improve London's road network, the team requires real time information on the volume, flow and type of traffic on the roads across the city.
