TomTom has introduced a new navigation device ‘The Tomtom Rider 550’, which is specifically designed for motorbike riders.

The new device features Wi-Fi updating with lifetime services such as world maps, traffic and speed cameras.

Providing access to TomTom Road Trips, the new TomTom RIDER 550 also offers more than 150 exclusive riding routes available for download.

Equipped with a quad-core processor, the device provides faster performance and smoother navigation experience to the riders. It also comes with thousands of biker-specific Points of Interest.

The riders will be able to interact with their phone through Siri and Google Now voice assistants, as well as ask the device to read the text messages aloud.

TomTom Consumer managing director Mike Schoofs said: “We’re really excited to offer the TomTom RIDER 550 to the market. It includes features to make the lives of bikers easier such as Wi-Fi, voice assistant connectivity and read-aloud smartphone messages.

The TomTom RIDER 550 comes with a glove-friendly 4.3 inch touchscreen. The bikers can browse and select various routes through the device and then personalise and sync them to it.

They can also save the rides that they have taken directly on the device.

The TomTom RIDER 550 is expected to be available in Europe from the first week of April this year, while pre-sales will start from the middle of next month.
