Variable message signs for road traffic applications

Yaham VMS are created to deliver traffic information on roadways, generally covering details such as congestion or accident reports, temperature, lane control and limited speed displays.

As a complete waterproof traffic sign, the highly durable and stable Yaham VMS can successfully withstand adverse weather and pressure washing.

The VMS is also available with wireless and remote control capabilities and networkable with other displays and controllers. In addition, the innovative lens design enables energy-efficient traffic display. They are available in a large variety of sizes and colours to meet client specifications.

There are two different types of full variable message signs, namely the traditional and energy-saving full VMS. Full matrix VMS pixel pitches are available between P10mm and P33.33mm. Single, dual or full colour options are also available, depending on the project.

Pixel error detection facilitates traffic sign operation, as well as environment monitoring. Yaham’s control system not only supports pixel error detection, but also automatic dimming control.

With strong engineering capacity, we can integrate in the intelligent transport system (ITS) management, including the National Transportation Communications for Intelligent Transportation System Protocol (NTCIP) and MODBUS.

Variable traffic signs for urban environments

Yaham’s VTS are incorporated in city traffic systems and used in a wide range of applications, including lane control signals and speed limit signs.

They make the road instructions clearer and more distinguishable, while reminding drivers about speed limit and urgent control information from the traffic control centre.

Key features include:

• An applied double digital photographic probe to ensure display brightness will change accordingly
• A spin lock design to simplify installation
• Fully welded 2mm aluminium housing with internal strength and support members
• Adopted Nichia high-intensity LED technology with long-life mean time between failures (MTBF)

LED public information displays

Designed to display up-to-date information, Yaham’s PIDs deliver public transportation vehicle arrival and departure information in real-time. Arrival countdowns for trains, flights and buses can also be displayed based on advanced data input.

Yaham’s PIDs effectively enhance real-time accuracy using direct short-range communication with vehicles, and are resistant to electromagnetic interference, pressure washing and severe weather conditions.

They are designed to display graphic and alphanumerical information with high visibility based on auto-dimming and high-intensity LED technology, which are seen as a suitable traffic display solution for both indoor and outdoor applications.
