In 2017 and 2018, we developed the SpiderCentral, a new tool that can collect environmental data at iBWIM measurements.
The SpiderCentral is a data logger for environmental conditions, which is mounted inside the iBWIM cabinet. It measures data such as temperature and humidity inside the cabinet, and has a time-of-fly (ToF) sensor, which measures the distance between the SpiderCentral and the door of the cabinet. So, if someone opens the door, the device is able to send an alarm via SMS or email, or to trigger a siren or a light.
The input voltage of the system is also measured so we can see if there is a problem with supply.
Additionally, the SpiderCentral has different types of inputs for external sensors such as digital inputs and outputs, mA inputs and the possibility to connect a PT1000 temperature sensor.
