Transdyn announced today it has been awarded a three (3) year contract by the New York State Bridge Authority to provide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) engineering and consulting services for the five (5) bridges operated by the Authority.
Transdyn will provide planning, design, systems integration, equipment procurement, and program management services related to the development and advancement of the Authority’s ITS program. The new ITS system will allow the Authority to use the latest technologies to efficiently operate and maintain their bridges by more securely managing facilities, reducing traffic congestion, and increasing motorist safety.
The New York State Bridge Authority operates and maintains the Kingston-Rhinecliff, Newburgh-Beacon, Rip Van Winkle, Mid-Hudson, and Bear Mountain bridges. For over 65 years, these trans-Hudson River facilities have been managed by the Authority and have played an important role in economy growth for Hudson Valley.
