Transdyn was recently awarded a ten-year, bi-annual renewal contract by Transurban to provide support services for the central computer control system (CCCS) that manages the CityLink automated tollway.
Under the maintenance agreement, Transdyn will provide Transurban with configuration management and 24/7 corrective and preventative maintenance on all software including DYNAC® ES and other third-party system software. The contract award will ensure that the CCCS remains reliable, scalable and cost-effective in order to minimize disruptions to CityLink operations.
The new computer system, running Transdyn’s DYNAC ES software suite, provides seamless management of all aspects of traffic and plant operations. From a unified operator interface, the new system monitors and controls the roadway’s video cameras, vehicle detectors, electronic message signs, weigh-in-motion and counting stations, emergency telephones, motorist advisory radios, ventilation, lighting, electrical distribution, access control, fire detection, and environmental systems. DYNAC’s highly integrated user environment and advanced incident response management application allows control center personnel to safely and efficiently manage both traffic and facilities operations especially during emergency situations.
Transurban is a leading international toll road developer and investor with major assets in Australia, an asset in the US (Pocahontas Parkway), and emerging interests in other US states and the UK. The company focuses on the long-term ownership and management of advanced electronic toll roads.
