Transdyn has been selected to maintain and expand Maryland Transportation Authority’s video surveillance systems. The program will include preventative and corrective maintenance of all the authority’s existing and future video surveillance sites. Roadways and facilities covered under the program include the Fort McHenry Tunnel, Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, Francis Scott Key Bridge, Hatem Memorial Bridge, Nice Memorial Bridge, Kennedy Memorial Highway, Tydings Memorial Bridge and William Preston Lane, Junior Memorial Bridge (Bay Bridge).
Transdyn will furnish, install, integrate, test, commission, and maintain video-surveillance equipment, and provide training and technical support. The contract term is three years with a further two-year option.
The Maryland Transportation Authority is responsible for constructing, managing, operating, and improving the state’s toll facilities as well as for financing new revenue-producing transportation projects. The authority’s seven toll facilities, including a turnpike, two tunnels and four bridges, help keep traffic moving in Maryland.
