California’s San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) has awarded Iteris $2m service orders for its traffic signal synchronisation services.

Iteris has received the order under a new $3.2m on-call contract from SBCTA for 15 cities in the San Bernardino Valley.

Iteris will focus on devising a master plan to improve traffic signal coordination, update the existing traffic signal timing plans, and assess their function twice a year.

SBCTA intends to offer a safer travel experience to commuters by improving the traffic flow.

Sociedad Ibérica de Construcciones Eléctricas (SICE) has secured a contract from Acciona Construcción for the installation of communication systems, GTC systems, and variable signalling technology in the Caldearenas Tunnel in the port of Monrepós, Huesca, Spain.

The 3km-long tunnel on the A23 motorway will be deployed with SICE’s Scada Sidera control and application system.

The tunnel will become the biggest tunnel in the port area and will reduce travel times on the Pamplona-Jaca-Huesca-Lérida route, with operations expected to begin by the end of the year.

Nouvelle Autoroute 30 Financement has secured $446m through a public offering of senior notes.

The notes will yield an annual interest rate of 4.114% until their maturity in 2042.

Nouvelle Autoroute 30 Financement has secured $446m in a separate public offering of senior notes, which carry a fixed coupon rate of 3.75% a year until 2033.

The company has further raised $179m through a public offering of senior notes due in 2032. The notes bear an annual interest rate of 3.742%.

Based in Canada, Nouvelle Autoroute 30 Financement offers highway infrastructure construction services.

The Government of Cambodia has received $110m funding from the World Bank for the upgrade of National Road 4 between Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk province.

Funding will be used for the overlaying of asphalt concrete across 200km of road, as well as the replacement of hard shoulders and construction of drains and bridges.

The funding will extend the Road Asset Management Project II (RAMP II), upgrade weighing stations, and set up speed limit zones, guide signs cameras, solar panels and safety corridors.
