Eye-Net Mobile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Foresight Autonomous Holdings, has signed a collaborative agreement with Smart City Company NoTraffic.

As per the agreement, Eye-Net Mobile’s cellular-based V2X accident prevention solution and NoTraffic’s intelligent traffic management solution will be developed and optimised by the two companies.

Upon completion of the joint development, the two companies will promote the integration and commercialisation of the solution with various municipalities in North America and across the globe.

The commercialisation terms and conditions have not been finalised.

Eye-Net Mobile COO and deputy CEO Dror Elbaz said: “The technological collaboration between Eye-Net Mobile and NoTraffic has the potential to redefine smart infrastructures and road users’ connectivity.

“Our cooperation will enhance both products and will enable accident prevention in junctions by sharing real-time information between intelligent traffic lights and connected road users.

“We believe that the combined solution will be adopted by municipalities and smart cities worldwide seeking to promote smart transportation and reduce the number of accidents in urban environments.”

NoTraffic developed an autonomous traffic management platform to solve current real-world traffic challenges. It also unlocks mobility benefits for traffic agencies.

Using the platform, cities will be able to smartly implement their traffic policy in an effortless way.

Furthermore, the policy can be operated autonomously to increase traffic flow, prioritise different types of vehicles, reduce congestion and prevent accidents.

In June 2018, the two companies collaborated in a trial to demonstrate innovative technologies and created reliable communication channels between road users and smart infrastructure.

NoTraffic CEO Tal Kreisler said: “Intersections are still one of the most challenging traffic bottlenecks and serve as the location for 40% of traffic accidents.

“NoTraffic’s technology demonstrates a significant breakthrough in the field of communications between road users and traffic infrastructure, bridging the gap between the connected and non-connected road users.”
